Have questions about ASU and the College of Global Futures? We have answers!

The College of Global Futures offers bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. programs. Degrees include Sustainability, Sustainable Food Systems, Ocean Futures, Innovation and Society, and Applied Mathematics for Life and Social Sciences.

Some of these degrees have complex names, so we encourage you to learn about all of our degrees here. https://collegeofglobalfutures.asu.edu/degrees-programs/undergraduate-degrees/

All degrees prepare you to understand the deeply rooted challenges to industries, lifestyles, policymaking, etc. that put our globe at risk. You’ll learn how to design and launch innovative solutions that address these challenges.

No. Changing the trajectory of global futures requires participation from policymakers, business leaders and executives, entrepreneurs, designers, health care professionals, and lawyers … just to name a few.

At ASU we believe that new ideas and solutions will arise from interdisciplinary collaborations and perspectives. We aim to bring together solutions-driven individuals from all backgrounds and interests who share a passion for creating positive global change.

You certainly can, but hear us out. The undergraduate degrees offered by College of Global Futures have been uniquely designed to address specific challenges facing our globe, including climate change, ecological degradation, food and water security, ocean health, equitable energy transitions, and responsible technological innovation. We’ve brought together some of the leading experts in these fields to teach our students and conduct ground breaking research. And, our graduates are extremely successful landing jobs in all sectors including major fortune 500 companies, startups, nonprofits, and government agencies.

While more and more students are majoring in a degree program offered by the College of Global Future, if you want to be an engineer or have a specific focus area within business, ASU has excellent programs that you should consider. Many students in ASU’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and W. P. Carey School of Business double major in College of Global Future degrees, or pick up a minor.

Overwhelming? Yes, at times. Impossible? Absolutely not. ASU exists to take fundamental responsibility for the economic, social, cultural and overall health of the communities it serves. While we are proud idealists that we can make positive change in the world, we’re also proud pragmatists. We take the challenge we are addressing seriously. We partner with industry leaders to scale our impact. And, we believe that every single positive contribution that our students, faculty and alumni make on society is important and meaningful, however small that contribution may be.

Our graduates work for places like PepsiCo, Microsoft, and HP and in startups, government agencies, academia, and global NGOs. Job titles include Chief Sustainability Officer, Program Director, Supply Chain Manager in fields including alternative energy, autonomous vehicles, and real estate development.

We have a website dedicated to career services and outcomes for our students that we encourage you to check out.

Yes, ASU has hundreds of scholarships available to students, including the New American University Scholarship Program for students with strong academic backgrounds. You can explore all scholarships at tuition.asu.edu/financial-aid/scholarships

We also invite you to apply for the Global Futures Impact Scholars program designed exclusively for incoming first-year students who enroll in the College of Global Futures.
